Job Title: ICT Security Professional

The role of the ICT Security Professional is to ensure the security and integrity of our information systems and services. This involves defining, operating, and managing the organization's information security management system (ISMS) to minimize business impact from operational information security vulnerabilities and incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish, review, and manage the implementation of an ISMS in line with the organization's ICT governance framework and policies.
  • Define and manage an Information Security Risk Treatment Plan to mitigate potential risks.
  • Manage endpoint security for all devices connecting to the network.
  • Protect systems against software malware by implementing effective security measures.
  • Ensure the security of converged networks, user identity, and logical access.
  • Control physical access to ICT assets, sensitive documents, and systems.
  • Monitor, report, and evaluate the ICT infrastructure for security-related events.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Matric (NQF Level 4) plus National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Information Technology/Computer Science/Information Systems.

Certification as an Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) is a must.

Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in Information Technology/Computer Science/Information Systems will be considered as an added advantage.

SAQA recognized Certificate in any of the following ICT standards (ITIL, ISO 27000, and COBIT 5) will be considered as an added advantage.

SAQA recognized Risk-related industry-standard qualifications such as CISA, CISM, or CGEIT will be considered as an added advantage.Benefits:

4 – 6 years of work experience in ICT Disaster Recovery and Service Continuity.

Understanding of enterprise, network, system, and application level security principles.

Experience and knowledge of NIST, ISO 27002, and/or other security frameworks.

Understanding of Industrial Control Systems in relation to utility practices for operational technologies and service delivery.

Ability to project manage and complete projects from inception to closure.
