Senior Backend Developer

This is a senior backend developer role in a legal technology company specializing in document automation. Our platform empowers law firms and in-house legal teams to draft, negotiate, and manage contracts more efficiently.

  • We're seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Ruby on Rails Developer with the skills to become a foundational member of our engineering team in a new region.

This individual will take full ownership of projects, ensuring quality and efficiency, and bring a strong character to help stabilize and grow our presence locally.

  • This role requires designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications using Ruby on Rails, adhering to best practices and high coding standards.
  • Collaboration with remote teams is essential, providing clear and proactive communication to align on project objectives and technical specifications.
  • The ideal candidate will lead development of core features, taking full responsibility for project execution, quality control, and deployment.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior developers is also a key aspect of this role, setting an example in code quality, work organization, and communication.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within an engineering team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage complex projects independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and a proactive approach to collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
