Ambulatory Care Coordinator
About the RoleThis position involves managing referrals, scheduling allied health appointments and handling patient communications. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient care and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities- Process internal referrals and update relevant lists
- Schedule and oversee allied health appointments (Physical Therapy, Kinesiology, Chiropractic Care, Occupational Therapy, Vision)
- At least 2 years of experience as a Virtual Assistant, preferably in a healthcare setting (Physiotherapy, Dental clinics, Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Naturopathy)
- Experience in healthcare administration or patient coordination (preferred)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent phone and email communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage scheduling efficiently
- Proficiency with MS Excel and Google Workspace (Google Spreadsheet, Google Docs)
- Familiarity with healthcare software tools (EMR/EHR such as WEBPT, JANE APP, Juvono)
- Experience handling insurance claims (MVA, WSIB, BlueCross, Sun Life) and billing
