ERP Systems Lead Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced ERP systems lead engineer to join our team. This position will involve leading the design, development, and implementation of automated test strategies for our comprehensive ERP platform.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining custom test automation frameworks, developing data management strategies using database manipulation, mentoring team members on framework-specific patterns and best practices, collaborating on compile-time consistency strategies across the stack, automating end-to-end tests for UI and API workflows using testing frameworks such as Playwright and Selenium, designing and implementing test automation architecture using Page Object Model (POM) or similar design patterns to ensure scalability and maintainability, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Team City, Mercurial/Git, and GitHub, performing cross-browser testing, developing and executing an overall automation strategy for a complex ERP system, focusing on UI/integration testing while also supporting API and performance testing as needed, participating in code review meetings, supporting other testers and automation engineers in approach, design, script development, execution, and reporting, analyzing and communicating test results and defect resolution tasks, staying up to date with industry trends and best practices to apply them to existing projects, demonstrating automation solutions to key stakeholders, showcasing value and progress, monitoring and reviewing daily test reports, taking necessary actions to address failures or issues, collaborating with teams to manage test data and use third-party tools for database interactions.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• 6 + years of experience in test automation for multi-platform, multi-user web-based applications, preferably in complex ERP systems or similar enterprise-level software
• Experience with C# to TypeScript code generation workflows
• SQL Server proficiency and database setup/management
• Test data management strategies using direct database manipulation
• Understanding of database-driven test scenarios
• Mercurial (Hg) source control experience with TortoiseHg
• NUnit testing framework expertise
• Understanding of robot pattern implementations
• Experience with strongly typed test automation approaches
• Experience testing complex business workflows and processes
• Understanding of typical ERP business logic (AP/AR, Billing, HRM, etc.)
• Strong programming skills in language such as C# or Java, Typescript with ability to write modular maintainable code
• Experience designing and executing functional UI, backend and APIs based manual and automated tests
• Experience with the Agile – Scrum, Kanban or Lean development processes is required
• Experience with Cucumber/Gherkin, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver open-source frameworks is required
• Experience with Jenkins, Team City, mercurial or other build management, continuous integration tools, AWS, is desirable
• Experience with security testing (sqli, xss, etc) is a plus
• Experience using Jira and Zephyr is preferable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Performance testing is preferred
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, highly flexible on-site and offshore team environment
• Must be a self-starter, able to operate independently, and multiplex his or her time between many diverse tasks in a fast-moving environment with limited supervision
