Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to support our finance team in processing supplier invoices, reconciling accounts, and managing payment runs. The role involves ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Processing, coding, and entering supplier invoices in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or other similar ERP systems.
- Matching purchase orders and delivery dockets with supplier invoices.
- Reconciling accounts payable transactions and supplier statements.
- Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs.
- Liaising with suppliers to resolve payment queries and discrepancies.
- Maintaining vendor records and ensuring documentation accuracy.
- Supporting month-end closing tasks and reporting.
- Collaborating with purchasing and operations to resolve invoice or delivery issues.
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Providing support for bank reconciliations where required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Bookkeeping.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or other ERP tools such as SAP, Pronto, NetSuite.
- Experience within supply chain, wholesale, or industrial products sector is advantageous.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to liaise internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team.
