Job Title: Legal Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Legal Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to attorneys, including collecting and organizing evidence and legal documents, assisting with filings and trial preparations, and managing communications among parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts for information gathering and updates.
  • Support real estate transactions by preparing relevant documents.
  • Draft and review discovery documents in family law cases.
  • Organize evidence and legal documents for review.
  • Prepare, file, and serve legal documents such as contracts and pleadings.
  • Coordinate schedules and share information among involved parties.
  • Maintain organized systems for document management.
  • Assist with discovery by reviewing and producing documents.
  • Help prepare for trials by assembling exhibits and legal filings.
  • Attend virtual legal proceedings to support attorneys, if needed.
  • Summarize depositions, transcripts, and exhibits.
  • Create charts, graphs, and summaries for case presentation.
  • File legal documents with courts and serve opposing counsel.
  • Use legal software for document preparation and case tracking.
  • Record billable hours for invoicing.

Requirements:

  • Paralegal certification or legal studies degree.
  • Experience as a paralegal.
  • Must have a Windows OS device.
  • Experience with real estate document preparation.
  • Familiarity with discovery in family law cases.
  • Ability to communicate directly with clients and witnesses.
  • Skilled in organizing legal documents and evidence.
  • Proficient in legal document filing and serving.
  • Strong coordination and scheduling skills.
  • Knowledge of legal software and document management.
  • Ability to assist with trial preparations.
  • Comfortable attending virtual legal proceedings.
  • Detail-oriented in summarizing transcripts and preparing visual data.
  • Ability to track billable hours for invoicing.
