We are seeking a skilled professional to convert 2D images into 3D bas-relief point cloud models for subsurface crystal engraving. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of image processing, 3D modeling, and precision formatting for laser engraving systems.

About the Role

This is an entry-level full-time position in our design team. As a detail-oriented and technically skilled specialist, you will be responsible for transforming high-resolution 2D portrait images into 3D point cloud models with raised facial features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Convert 2D images (JPEG/PNG) into 3D point cloud models
  • Enhance image clarity and contrast to optimize depth and detail in final output
  • Ensure compatibility of point cloud files with engraving machine formats
  • Scale and align models to match crystal dimensions
  • Perform quality checks and deliver engraving-ready files for production
Requirements
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, MeshLab)
  • Experience with point cloud generation and manipulation
  • Familiarity with subsurface laser engraving or similar precision manufacturing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet formatting specifications
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple image conversions efficiently
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Knowledge of bas-relief modeling techniques
  • Experience in image enhancement and depth mapping
  • Understanding of OBJ file structure and compatibility standards
  • Experience with Point Cloud Library in converting images
