The role of Senior Financial Policy Expert is critical to ensuring our financial policies and procedures are clear, effective, and compliant with our organizational framework.

Main Responsibilities:

Policy Development and Compliance

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive framework for finance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with our organizational policy framework.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design, implement, and review policies and procedures, ensuring they meet the needs of our global operations.
  • Advise on the interpretation and application of finance policies and procedures, providing guidance to colleagues and departments as needed.

Communication and Training

  • Design and deliver training programs to educate staff on new and updated policies and procedures, ensuring a smooth implementation process.
  • Develop clear communication plans to inform stakeholders about policy changes and updates, using various channels to reach our global audience.

Process Improvement and Automation

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, utilizing technology to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline financial processes, leveraging tools like Power BI, MS Forms, and SharePoint to drive innovation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Law, or Communications.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in business process analysis, project management, and process improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to visualize complex information and structure it within frameworks.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise content.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working in WV Field Offices is highly valued.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, intranet/Internet tools, and software applications used in daily work.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams.
