Key Responsibilities
- Operating Machinery:
Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment like excavators, loaders, graders, and cranes to move earth, materials, and perform site preparation tasks.
- Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct pre-operational inspections, perform routine maintenance, and report any malfunctions to ensure equipment is safe and functioning properly.
- Following Plans and Blueprints:
Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure work is completed accurately and according to project specifications.
- Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations, wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and communicate with other workers to maintain a safe work environment.
- Site and Material Management:
Prepare sites for construction, grade land, and move construction materials to designated areas on the job site.
- Collaboration:
Work effectively with other construction professionals, supervisors, and team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proven experience operating various types of heavy construction equipment.
- Reading and Comprehension: Ability to read and understand blueprints, site plans, and technical manuals.
- Physical Fitness: Capability to perform heavy manual labor and work for extended periods in various weather conditions.
