Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our remote team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing timely and reliable financial insights to support business decision-making.

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Proficiency in Excel, including XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas, is essential. Experience with QuickBooks or similar software is also highly desirable.
Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and general ledger transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation
- Support internal and external audits
- Perform variance analysis and explain key fluctuations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
- 1-3 years of accounting experience (internships welcome)
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and accurate with numbers
- Understanding of GAAP and accounting workflows
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar software
- Professional English communication skills
- Ability to manage time, tasks, and deadlines in a remote setup
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to improve systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, SharePoint, and related tools
