Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts communications, documentation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and reporting.
About the Role- Read, understand, and respond to each email, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders and managers.
- Evaluate and escalate unfamiliar or uncertain information to colleagues and supervisors.
- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including documenting and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in payroll processing, including timesheet-based payrolls, award interpretation, termination and redundancy payments, and superannuation.
- Manage accounts communications, including responding to emails, phone calls, and other forms of correspondence.
- Document and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, bank statements, and payroll reports.
- Reconcile ledger transactions, bank statement records, and payroll to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies and anomalies in financial data, working closely with colleagues and supervisors to implement corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, providing timely updates on financial matters and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with ability to identify and resolve errors or discrepancies.
- Proficient in Employment Hero Payroll and Xero software, with ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels.
