Job Title: Financial Accountant

About This Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Financial Accountant to join our team. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing, rent roll/property accounts payable and receivable.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in MYOB. They will also have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

This is a full-time role that requires a proactive, flexible and positive attitude. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing, rent roll/property accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements and cash flow forecasts
  • Perform regular reconciliation of company bank accounts and credit cards
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring they are compliant with industry standards and regulations
  • E nsure compliance with Australian taxation laws
  • Collaborate with senior management to prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Provide financial insights to management to help with business decisions, cost control and profitability
Requirements
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in MYOB - A MUST.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • A proactive, flexible and positive attitude
