Deliver innovative data insights to support Customs and Border Protection in their mission to safeguard the United States.

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team, working remotely with a preference for candidates located in the National Capital Region - DMV.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects, collaborating with data scientists and other consultants to develop and implement advanced analytics solutions.

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Extracting valuable insights from complex datasets using robust data mining techniques.
  • Developing and maintaining large-scale data infrastructure to support data ingestion and visualization.
  • Creating stunning visualizations to communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research or closely related field.
  • Four years of relevant experience in applied research, big data analytics, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, computer science, operations research or other closely related quantitative or mathematical discipline.
  • Expertise in data mining methods, databases, data visualization, and machine learning.
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as Anomaly detection, Clustering, and Time-series (e.g., ARIMA).
  • Familiarity with NLP concepts including preprocessing, TF-IDF, Named Entity Recognition, and LLMs.
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to identify issues with data.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, and/or Databricks.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices for software-hardware optimization when processing large sets of data.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
