The Risk Underwriter role is a key position within our organization, responsible for supporting underwriters by providing technical expertise in reviewing and processing insurance applications, renewals, and endorsements to ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Improvement: Provide recommendations on business process improvement opportunities focusing on Turnaround Time (TAT) and Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, systems, and processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to QBE policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Customer Support: Resolve escalated customer complaints promptly.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Pending Items: Monitor pending items from brokers and clients for existing policies, following required processes and guidelines.
  • New Submissions: Assist with new submission reviews, buyer research, and underwriting model completion to minimize risk and contribute to business growth.
  • Binder and Policy Documents: Assist with the preparation of binder and policy documents, adhering to deadlines and guidelines.
  • Claims Status: Track new and pending claims status by liaising between the company and broker.
