Key Job Details

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in a prominent residential development project, working closely with an experienced Construction Manager overseeing multiple large-scale projects.

Core Responsibilities

  • Undertake detailed measurements of internal works to establish accurate baseline quantities.
  • Manage ongoing cost tracking and variation assessments as apartment configurations and designs change.
  • Prepare comprehensive bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure effective cost control.
  • Utilize CostX software to measure and manage quantities.
  • Interpret and verify architectural and engineering drawings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in Australian construction and quantity surveying/estimation for residential projects.
  • Expertise in estimating software such as CostX / Bluebeam / Planswift.
  • Excellent English communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
