Operational Excellence Specialist Role Summary

Job Description:

The Operational Excellence Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Improving business processes by collaborating with stakeholders to identify areas for enhancement, assess current practices, and implement optimized solutions.
  • Establishing a culture of continuous improvement through training, coaching, and post-mortem analysis to foster ongoing learning and growth.
  • Designing and implementing frameworks that enable teams to work efficiently, consistently, and with clarity.
  • Ensuring processes are properly documented, implemented, and monitored to support internal and external audits.
  • Tracking and reporting company-wide KPIs using dashboards and data insights to evaluate the impact of process improvements and inform decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Engineering, or Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or similar roles, preferably within the IT or software industry.
  • Hands-on experience with lean methodologies and tools (e.g., A3, Root Cause Analysis, Dynamic Work Design, Toyota Production System).
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills to gather input, troubleshoot issues, and align diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex workflows and design efficient, scalable solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
