Data Science Leadership Role

Our organization is seeking a seasoned Analytics Team Lead to oversee the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in data science, and a proven track record of successfully managing high-performing teams.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delegating, and managing timelines and deliverables with the team, assigned squad, and stakeholders.
• He or she will also perform quality assurance of the team's output to ensure accurate results are shared with stakeholders.
• Additionally, the candidate will make decisions on the best models or approaches to use for all projects, ensuring that all assumptions, caveats, and recommendations align with business objectives.
• He or she will consider each modeler's skill level, knowledge, and understanding of all phases of the job and those requiring improved skills and/or experience.
• Furthermore, the successful candidate will ensure proper turnovers and documentations for ML Ops and conduct necessary training to new coworkers or subordinates.
• Lastly, he or she will continuously look for improvements not just in deployed models' performance but in all end-to-end project methodology and work progress.

As an individual contributor, the candidate will participate in requirements gathering, assessment, and design of client's analytical models. This includes:

• Gathering, analyzing, and validating requirements.
• Coordinating with integration developers regarding use case requirements.
• Utilizing big data to perform analyses and generate reports based on requestor's needs.
• Data preparation.
• Model selection, assessment, and evaluation.
• Results presentation.
• Working proficiently with open-source tools such as Python and SQL, or other tools as required by stakeholders.
• Monitoring existing analytical models especially BAU models commercially deployed if performance is depreciating or issues occur; should be able to relay information to stakeholders, recommend, and apply quick resolutions.
• Adapting to and learning new platforms such as CDSW, AWS, Hue, and Snowflake, and being able to quickly adapt to additional platforms upon stakeholder requests.
• Applying substantial telco domain knowledge in areas such as customer segmentation, revenue assessment, and campaign-related tasks.
• Communicating effectively with various teams and departments to accomplish and refine tasks based on business requirements.
• Attending and contributing to meetings and discussions.
