Job Overview

The role of the Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer focuses on creating high-quality acceptance tests, sustaining automated test execution, and championing quality within the software development team.

This position involves working with the scrum team to identify appropriate tests to automate, ensuring that failed tests are consistently reviewed, and maintaining a daily automated test execution schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creates high-quality acceptance tests from acceptance criteria and quality standards.
  • Maintains a goal of continuous and daily automated test execution.
  • Works with the scrum team to identify tests to automate.
  • Ensures adequate test suite coverage and reviews failed tests.
  • Implements best practices into daily operations, including code maintainability and design patterns.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or significant experience in a technology-related discipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with a focus on value-added operations.
  • Understanding of agile software development practices and principles.
  • Skills in API-based automated test development.
  • UI automated test development skills such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.
  • Knowledge of profiling an application and profiling concepts.
  • SQL skills for database optimization.
  • Skills in Unit Testing.
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques used in manual testing.
  • Experience converting manual tests into scripted automated tests.
  • Technical foundation and fluency in C# programming language.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience creating test scenarios from functional requirements using Gherkin format.
  • Development tool skills such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or Azure SQL.
  • Skills in writing T-SQL and data testing.
  • Experience with automated testing via DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience debugging using Azure Application Insights or other APM tools.
