Job Title: Senior Technical Leader

This position plays a critical role in our Sustaining Engineering team, which continuously enhances open source software by resolving customer-reported defects. The team focuses on improving the kernel and user space applications as well as IaaS platforms.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a distributed team of engineers
  • Recruit, train, mentor, provide feedback, and career development guidance to your team members
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), training, and coaching sessions
  • Ensure timely delivery of bug fixes, patches, and technical solutions that address business needs across various technology fields
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer interaction skills
  • Set expectations with other engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders
  • Advocate for and advance modern software development practices
  • Cultivate a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values
Requirements:
  • Professional experience in software delivery using C, C++, Go, Python, or similar programming languages
  • Strong passion for software development and knowledge of its principles
  • Leadership experience demonstrating ability to organize and prioritize complex problem resolution and bug fixes
  • Experience with version control systems such as git
  • Proficiency in debugging tools like gdb, crash, or others
  • Commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Experience with Linux, preferably Ubuntu
  • Knowledge of Open Source and Open Source Business Models
