A medical billing professional plays a pivotal role in healthcare facilities by efficiently processing claims to insurance companies.

Daily responsibilities involve reviewing data from medical coders, verifying insurance coverage, and resolving denied claims. A key aspect of the job is assisting patients with billing inquiries and managing inbound and outbound calls regarding patient information and appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage phone interactions with patients, including appointment scheduling and data verification
  • Assist with claim denials, follow-ups, and resubmitting corrected claims
  • Record and verify explanation of benefits statements
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, insurance verification, follow-ups, and collections for outstanding balances and receivables
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in US Healthcare Claims Customer Service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service experience in Insurance Billing
  • HIPAA Certification is advantageous
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Impartiality and ability to work independently
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software
  • Strong work attitude and willingness to exceed expectations
