Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Job Description

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As part of our cloud-first strategy, we are expanding our microservices infrastructure to optimize availability and scalability.

  • Develop and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure components using Terraform.
  • Utilize current technologies and tools to continuously improve and automate system operations.
  • Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain systems to deliver our services.
  • Participate in ITSM lifecycle tasks, including performance, service, change, asset, incident, and problem management.
  • Take part in on-call duties.
  • Administer and configure web application servers.
  • Develop automation and monitoring scripts.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform for scalable deployment processes.
  • Investigate issues and troubleshoot problems.
  • Contribute to the design, documentation, implementation, and administration of enterprise applications.
  • Manage middleware refreshes and patching.
  • Collaborate with specialists across domains for cross-functional activities.
  • Handle L2/L3 support tickets with third-party suppliers.
About You

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong knowledge of cloud providers, network protocols, and architectures.

  • Degree in computer science or equivalent IT training/experience.
  • Good Linux knowledge; Windows experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of network protocols and architectures (TCP/IP, MPLS, peering, hub & spoke).
  • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider, preferably Oracle.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Git).
  • Strong CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub, CloudInit).
  • Basic software development knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze technical problems and automate administrative tasks.
  • Experience with J2EE application servers (JBoss, WebLogic, Tomcat).
  • Knowledge of secure data transfer topics (SFTP, Queue Management).
  • Understanding of SSL and digital certificates.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and customer focus.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for the role.
  • Proficiency in English.
