Windows System Administration Job Description

This role is responsible for providing 24/7 technical support for cloud-based solutions to ensure seamless operations across applications, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and set up new development tools, infrastructure, and networking; maintain and deploy cloud applications.
  • Develop and configure infrastructure as code (Ansible and Terraform).
  • Administer Dev, Test, and Production environments hosted on Windows, Linux, and Unix servers.
  • Strong knowledge of load balancing and CDN options from multiple cloud vendors (e.g., Load Balancer and Application Gateway in Azure).
  • Install and configure databases (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and others).
  • Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats; install software updates and fixes; identify and resolve technical problems.
  • Install and maintain a centralized logging cluster using Logstash, Elasticsearch, and Kibana to parse logs from applications and containers.
  • Identify and resolve issues involving APIs, application services, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, containers, Kubernetes nodes, middleware components, network, security, and infrastructure; escalate as needed.
  • Manage cloud elasticity by auto-scaling resources based on business requirements; ensure disaster recovery and manual redundancy failover capabilities.
Requirements
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Citrix Administration with XenApp and XenDesktop across multiple sites and farms.
  • Strong design, implementation, and troubleshooting of Citrix Presentation Server, XenApp, and XenDesktop; experience with Citrix upgrades and farm migrations.
