Data Integration Specialist with Advanced ETL Skills

">Role Overview

We seek an experienced Data Integration Specialist to join our team, focusing on delivering and supporting data integrations from internal and external sources into the data warehouse technical stack. This role involves building new data integrations (ETL components) and making changes to existing software.

As a key member of our Enterprise Data Warehouse team, you will be responsible for designing and building a strong data warehouse architecture.

Your primary goal will be to ensure accurate data delivery to systems, leveraging monitoring tools to track status of ETL Pipelines for performance and completion.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement ETL components in line with business requirements and data modelling standards.
  2. Develop Matillion ETL scripts and ETL orchestrations as required.
  3. Ensure the team is following best practices of ETL development and contribute to defining a scalable data warehouse architecture.
  4. Leverage monitoring tools to track status of ETL Pipelines for performance and completion.
  5. Develop and write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract and insert data into and from the Datawarehouse.
  6. Engage with Business Analyst & Technical Architects to clarify business requirements and offer recommendations for improvements.
  7. Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members on technologies and processes.
  8. Participate in peer code reviews.
  9. Provide out-of-hours support as requested for incidents.
  10. Contribute to routine maintenance, performance tuning, and support of ETL and the DW Environment.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

1+ years of IT experience working with ETL in an enterprise environment.

Knowledge in ETL Design methodologies including best practices, performance tuning, architecture, monitoring, and alerting.

Experience with relational and dimensional data modelling and ability to represent data using standard modelling techniques.

Proficient with SQL and stored procedures.

Experience in working with at least one of these warehouse technologies such as SQL, Snowflake, AWS Redshift.

Ability to deliver work to schedule (self-manage workload and priorities).

Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
