Financial Credit Analyst Role

This is a critical Financial Credit Analyst position that requires an individual with exceptional analytical skills to evaluate client creditworthiness and provide expert recommendations on credit limits and terms. The successful candidate will possess strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, familiarity with industry-standard credit scoring systems and risk assessment tools, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze comprehensive financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess client creditworthiness and identify potential risks or deteriorating financial conditions.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate credit analyses and risk assessments for new and existing clients, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, legal, and finance teams to structure deals that align with company risk tolerance and strategic objectives.
  • Monitor client portfolios and proactively identify potential credit risks or financial challenges, making timely and informed decisions to mitigate these risks.
  • Maintain precise records of credit evaluations and decisions, ensuring seamless integration with internal processes and compliance requirements.
  • Recommend optimal credit limits and terms based on thorough risk analysis and expert judgment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk, applying this knowledge to enhance the company's overall credit management strategy.
  • Support underwriting processes for property acquisitions, leases, and financing arrangements, providing authoritative guidance and expertise.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Graduated cum laude or better from university is highly regarded.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in credit analysis, preferably within the real estate industry.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, including advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software applications.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard credit scoring systems and risk assessment tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in response to changing business needs.
