Credit Analyst Role

This role reports to the Senior Managing Director, Finance and works remotely during standard US Pacific Time business hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and data to assess client creditworthiness and make informed decisions.
  • Prepare detailed credit analyses and risk assessments for new and existing clients, providing recommendations for improved performance.
  • Collaborate with teams to structure deals that align with our company's risk tolerance and strategy.
  • Monitor client portfolios and identify potential credit risks or deteriorating financial conditions, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of credit evaluations and decisions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend credit limits and terms based on risk analysis, balancing business needs with prudential lending practices.
  • Stay current with industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk, applying this knowledge to enhance our underwriting processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Graduated cum laude or better from a reputable university is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, preferably within the real estate industry.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with expertise in credit scoring systems and risk assessment tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
