Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and creative Social Media Content Creator to produce engaging news-focused short-form videos and written content for our digital platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about current affairs, understands social media trends, and knows how to craft stories that spark conversations and connect with online communities.

The role involves producing social-first news content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, including short news recaps, stitched videos, explainers, fact-checks, and commentary. Researching trending topics and conducting fact-checking to ensure accuracy and credibility is also crucial.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality, engaging video and written content for social media platforms.
  • Research and Analysis: Research trending topics and conduct fact-checking to ensure accuracy and credibility.
  • Community Engagement: Respond to comments and messages to build and maintain a strong connection with the audience.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in content creation, social media management, or digital journalism is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, their audiences, and content trends (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook).
  • Proficiency in video editing and design software (Capcut, Canva, or equivalent)
