Remote Staff Accountant Position

This is a unique opportunity to join our finance team as a Staff Accountant (GL). We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with an accounting degree and experience with General Ledgers. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, have strong organization and communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process high volumes of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain the General Ledger by recording all financial transactions in the system.
- Prepare Financial Statements, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare reports and statements.
- Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and make adjustments as necessary.
- Lead or assist in month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage accruals for expenses incurred but not yet paid and prepayments for expenses paid in advance.
- Assist in audits by providing necessary information and support.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Accounting degree
- Experience with General Ledgers
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
