Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fraud Risk Associate to join our team. This role will provide an independent oversight to the fraud risk management activities of our organization, assisting senior management in ensuring that fraud risk-taking activities are aligned with approved strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the organization's fraud risk management framework, policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Recommend fraud risk appetite statements, indicators, and thresholds to senior management.
  • Conduct fraud risk assessments on new products and services, including new partnerships.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of fraud prevention and detection systems and recommend enhancements.
  • Collaborate with technology and fraud operations teams in delivering and deploying fraud-related system enhancements.
  • Assist in investigating potential fraud incidents and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide fraud awareness training and advice to business units on fraud risk management issues.
  • Prepare relevant fraud risk information and reports for escalation and presentation to senior management and other stakeholders.
RequirementsEssential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or business management.
  • 7-10 years of experience in fraud risk management in a bank setting.
  • Knowledge and experience in fraud mitigation, fraud detection rule writing, and developing rules management best practices.
  • Understanding of fraud schemes at a technical level (trojans, injections, social engineering, etc.).
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations is required.
  • Experience in developing statistical models and good coding skills in SQL, Excel, or Python is a plus.
  • Problem-solving skills and a positive constructive attitude are essential.
