Job Overview

The Credit Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in steering the company's credit and collections strategy. This entails overseeing the collections team, evaluating credit risk, approving credit limits, and fostering robust customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the collections team to ensure timely follow-up of outstanding invoices and effective collection strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and identify trends, potential issues, and high-risk customers.
  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize financial risk and ensure compliance with regulatory objectives.
  • Evaluate credit applications and customer financial statements to determine creditworthiness and assign appropriate credit limits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance customer service with risk mitigation.
  • Coach and develop credit & collections staff, set performance goals, conduct appraisals, and identify training needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in credit and collections, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Strong analytical skills, experience in credit risk assessment, and financial analysis.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Google Suite.
