Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Jira expert to fill this critical role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Jira Administration: User, group, and permission management; routine maintenance, upgrades, and backups.
  • Workflow Design & Automation: Create optimized workflows, fields, screens, and automation rules to minimize manual effort.
  • Project Configuration & Reporting: Develop and maintain projects, boards, dashboards, filters, and actionable reports.
  • Licence Management & Optimisation: Track licence costs, reconcile invoices, right-size tiers, and recommend savings on apps and subscriptions.
  • Integration & Add-ons: Evaluate, implement, and maintain Atlassian Marketplace apps; integrate Jira with CI/CD, chat, and other business tools.
  • User Support & Training: Provide second-line support, run training sessions, and maintain clear documentation and knowledge articles.
  • Process Governance & Improvement: Ensure security and compliance, document configurations, and champion ongoing process improvements.

Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years of experience in Jira administration (cloud).
  • A solid understanding of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and ITSM (ITIL, SLAs, queues).
  • Experience managing SaaS licences and cost-control initiatives.
  • Scripting/automation skills (Groovy, Jira Automation, REST API) and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent English communication skills; comfortable training non-technical users.

Favorable Skills:

  • Atlassian certification(s) in Jira Software / Jira Service Management or willingness to obtain quickly.
  • Bachelor's Degree
