Role Overview

The ideal candidate for this position is a highly persistent and detail-oriented individual who can effectively communicate with university staff to secure interviews for our platform, CeliacU.

This role involves conducting thorough research to identify appropriate contacts at target universities, verifying contact information, and prioritizing outreach based on university rankings and strategic importance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and identify potential contacts at target universities, including campus dietitians, dining services directors, student wellness coordinators, and disability services staff.
  • Verify contact information and update the outreach database accordingly.
  • Prioritize outreach efforts based on university rankings and strategic importance.
Outreach Strategy:
  • Develop and implement an effective outreach strategy to secure interviews with university staff.
  • Conduct professional phone calls to universities and departments, sending personalized email outreach using provided templates.
  • Follow up consistently on initial outreach attempts, handling objections and redirecting conversations to appropriate contacts.
Interview Coordination:
  • Coordinate video interviews with confirmed contacts, ensuring seamless scheduling across time zones and university schedules.
  • Send interview confirmations and reminders as needed.
  • Provide interview questions in advance to participants and maintain calendar accuracy.
Database Management:
  • Maintain a detailed outreach tracker with all contact attempts in the CRM system.
  • Update contact information, interview status, and detailed notes.
  • Track outreach metrics and conversion rates, generating weekly progress reports from a template.
Target Goals:
  • Secure interviews with the top 100 U.S. colleges and universities within the first phase.
  • Expand outreach to the next 250 institutions in phase two, targeting public and private universities.
  • Reach 1,000 universities by year-end, achieving a steady increase in outreach efforts.
Required Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Professional phone presence and confidence in cold calling, with the ability to quickly build rapport with university staff.
  • Strong email writing skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Personal experience with celiac disease or gluten allergies is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in B2B outreach, sales, or customer service, with a focus on higher education institutions.
  • Familiarity with research and data collection methods.
  • Virtual assistant or remote work experience.
