Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including reconciliations, invoicing, expense management, and general ledger entries.
  • Capture, code, and file supplier receipts and invoices using Dext, ensuring digital documents are organized and audit-ready.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, prepare supplier payments, and chase incoming payments as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to support accurate job costing: allocate materials, labour, and overhead to relevant projects.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports: P&L, cash-flow statements, project cost summaries.
  • Assist with Business Activity Statement preparation and liaise with external accountants for tax matters.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in bookkeeping using Xero.
  • Proficiency with Dext (or similar receipt-capturing tools).
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping workflows: invoicing, reconciliation, tracking expenses, and job costing.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in both financial and administrative tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team where adaptability is key.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
