Communications Network Systems Specialist

About the Role:

This exciting opportunity is for a skilled Communications Network Systems Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing, configuring and maintaining Local Communications Networks (LCNs) at various project sites across the country.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in designing, installing and maintaining LCNs, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assess and Configure LCNs: Conduct assessments and configuration of local communications networks across PMSP sites to ensure seamless integration with surveillance systems.
  • Maintain LCNs: Perform ongoing maintenance of LCNs to ensure operational readiness and system reliability.
  • Integrate LCN Components: Assist in integrating LCN components with surveillance systems, including radar, AIS, EO/IR and COP platforms.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with ICT/OT, HF/VHF and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, stable and efficient communications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, electronics or a related field.
  • Experience: Over 5 years of direct experience in designing, installing and maintaining Local Communication Networks (LCNs).
  • Skills and Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of HF/VHF/UHF radio systems, familiarity with maritime and coastal surveillance communications infrastructure, and ability to provide technical support and conduct system diagnostics.
