Job Summary

This is a challenging role for an experienced Network Engineer who can integrate and manage network setups, provide complex problem-solving solutions, and participate in the development and maintenance of operational documentation.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide support to Project or Demand Managers based on requirements to integrate a network setup.
  2. Develop and implement preventative maintenance activities, including code updates and equipment upgrades.
  3. Manage incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management.
  4. Lead assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  5. Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel, and outside vendors to provide technical assistance and support.
  6. Ensure security and audit compliance.
  7. Perform operational-related moves, adds, changes, and deletes (MACD).
  8. Adhere to operational standards and comply with engineering design standards and established operational processes.
  9. Participate in the development and maintenance of operational documentation, including updating engineering documentation changes due to operational changes, escalation procedures, and vendor contracts.
  10. Conduct root cause analysis for network events.
  11. Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting Cisco Networking Technologies.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Practical technical knowledge of CISCO Networking Technologies.
  • ITIL Ver. 3.0 or Ver. 4.0 preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment.
  • High-level technology problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering Communications, or equivalent experience is also required. Additionally, CCNA/CCNP certifications are also required.
