Contingent Customer Service Representative

At MCI, we are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Contingent Contact Center Agents. As a key member of our operations, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences during times of crisis.
Job OverviewMCI is a leading provider of business process outsourcing solutions, specializing in delivering tailored services that meet the diverse needs of our clients. We are committed to excellence and innovation, with a focus on building strong relationships with our customers and partners.
We are currently looking for agents to work on a temporary, remote basis in response to disaster relief efforts. This position is contingent on hurricane disaster relief needs, and we are seeking candidates who are passionate about providing excellent customer service and making a difference in their communities.
As a Contingent Contact Center Agent, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner. You will also have the opportunity to learn and grow with our company, developing new skills and knowledge in areas such as account management and customer service techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Assist customers with service inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Learn and apply the latest customer service techniques and best practices.
- Develop strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively handle complex customer situations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- The ability to type swiftly and accurately (20+ words per minute).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems.
- Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- The ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues.
- An aptitude for conflict resolution, problem solving, and negotiation.
- Must be customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious).
- Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage.
- Strong team orientation and customer focus.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where change and ambiguity are prevalent.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with your team and customers.
