Job Title: Learning Support SpecialistAbout the Job

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Learning Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in supporting students with learning difficulties. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing effective learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Providing one-on-one coaching and mentoring to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless delivery of support services.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and adapting support strategies as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with students with learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications: Bachelor's in Special Education (or related) and 3+ years K-12 SPED (teacher, case manager, interventionist)

Preferred qualifications: State SPED certification and/or Master's; experience with ELL, OASIS, trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices

Requirements: Time management, planning, and prioritization; Ability to organize and manage multiple responsibilities successfully; Exhibits professional and approachable demeanor; Ability to prioritize and focus on key objectives, which may change from month to month
