Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will conduct high-level analyses of revenue, cost of sales, client margins, SG&A expenses and a variety of system data for historical trends, present operations and future projections.

This role involves working closely with senior management to provide critical decision-making information related to revenue, clients, and expense management.

You must be highly detail-oriented, analytical, and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze statistics and apply accounting principles to assess past and present operations as well as future revenues and expenditures.
  • Develop expertise in our projection model. Update metrics required for accurate and timely projections which may include revenue, sales, and labor by client, and detailed financial analyses.
  • Create comprehensive financial models, prepare forecasts, and conduct research and analysis on all aspects of finance and operations.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Finance to develop project plans and communicate status updates.
  • Update the projection model as needed to reflect new or revised data and communicate changes effectively.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to interpret business transactions and journalize properly.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Provide recommendations based on accounting options.
  • Assist with budgeting processes which may involve gathering information, analysis, and reporting from various systems.
  • Become proficient in Business Intelligence (BI) using online training and on-the-job training.
  • Design and maintain user reports in BI that help analyze and provide data to other departments as well as Finance.
  • Utilize internal software and metrics to provide departmental budget and actual data and related financial analyses.
  • Perform other reporting tasks as required.
  • Maintain control over General Ledger, reporting, accounts receivable, and expenditures using accounting systems.
  • Contribute to team efforts by achieving related objectives as necessary.
  • Perform administrative tasks to support the above functions.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects related to internal and external customers, team members, and management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate strong Excel skills to create complex financial analyses.
  • Exhibit excellent accounting knowledge related to General Ledger/Financial statements and reconciliations.
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience of at least 4 years of progressive duties.
