Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost analysis and financial management. They will be responsible for conducting thorough cost analyses, assessing risks and opportunities, and ensuring efficient cost management to drive operational savings.

The Financial Expert for Cost Analysis will provide support in budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes through financial analyses and assessments. They will also ensure proper controls and reporting for capital expenditures requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Work with internal business units, product, and finance teams to determine and allocate their Capex and Opex costs, review costing methodologies, and ensure alignment on assumptions.
  • Process and develop recommended Capex and Opex costing methodologies, considering internal business and overall business plans.
  • Manage cost allocations and calculations in the reporting tool for Capex and Opex components related to internal business units.
  • Prepare and present reports and analyses on internal business unit, including cost to produce, segment, and overhead costs to stakeholders.
  • Create additional reports and analyses as needed by the business.
Monthly and Annual Reporting
  • Support monthly closing and annual budgeting processes by addressing budget-related issues and updating cost allocation rules.
  • Assist budget planners with resolving concerns and recommending solutions.
Capex Reporting
  • Support budget release for Carplan. Prepare and analyze Capex reports, manage Capex budgeting and forecasting, and collaborate with partners to discuss findings with stakeholders. Implement improvements in capex processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
