We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced financial professional with expertise in using Appfolio and Quickbooks online. This role involves managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for real estate properties
  • Utilize Appfolio software for financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports to provide valuable insights to stakeholders
  • Conduct regular financial closing processes, including reconciliations and transaction recording
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of real estate assets, identifying areas for improvement
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Coordinate with property managers and other stakeholders to provide financial support and guidance
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data and prevent fraud
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in real estate accounting
  • Proficiency in Appfolio software and other accounting tools
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and real estate finance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Skills:
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification
  • Experience with tax preparation and compliance
  • Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
