Job Opportunity

The Home-Based Dispatcher will work as a full-time employee in a fast-paced logistics environment. This role offers opportunities to learn new skills and demonstrate existing ones.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure drivers maintain compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and support customer requirements.
  2. Serve as a reliable point of contact to drivers and management.
  3. Monitor daily driving logs to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
  4. Assist Deputy Terminal Manager in ensuring truck and driver readiness.
  5. Develop daily plans to balance the drivers' health and safety with customer requirements.
  6. Coordinate and manage loads efficiently.
  7. Implement cost-saving programs.
  8. Combine shipments based on routes and timelines to minimize truck/driver requirements.
  9. Negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers.
  10. Identify special shipment needs and facilitate necessary documentation for drivers.
  • Requirements:
  1. High school degree or equivalent; Logistics or transportation degree preferred.
  2. Fluent English and Spanish language proficiency desired.
  3. Familiarity with Department of Transportation and Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance regulations.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  5. Experience with data entry/input, including Microsoft Excel and cloud-based storage systems.
  6. Critical thinking and rapid responsiveness essential.
