Job Title: Payroll Specialist – Remote Allied Health Services

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll role within a medium to large organisation.
  • Proficient in using Employment Hero and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Others:

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining up-to-date employee data, submitting TFN declarations and other compliance documentation, and reconciling leave entitlements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage end-to-end payroll processing on a fortnightly and monthly basis.
  2. Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee data using Employment Hero.
  3. Submit TFN declarations and other payroll compliance documentation to relevant authorities.
  4. Process termination payments in line with contracts or Awards.
  5. Reconcile and report on leave entitlements.
  6. Follow up on employee expenses and timesheet approvals.
  7. Respond to staff payroll queries clearly and promptly.
  8. Assist with month-end and EOFY reconciliations for wages, PAYG, and superannuation.
  9. Contribute to payroll-related reporting for the Finance team.
