Accounts Payable Accountant Job Overview

The Accounts Payable Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process, including setting up new supplier accounts, reviewing and managing aged creditors listings, and monitoring AP activities against key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently manage queues to minimize delays in invoice processing and payment
  • Support the enforcement of AP policies around payment terms and the requirement for purchase orders
  • Accurately reconcile supplier statements
  • Provide guidance to business users on the actions required to get an invoice or expense claim paid
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field, preferably in Finance and Accounting
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounts payable
  • Transaction processing in a high-volume environment is preferred
  • High English proficiency in both verbal and written communication
