Job Title: Construction Bid Manager

This is a challenging role for a highly motivated and organized individual to lead the entire bidding process, from preparation to evaluation and negotiation. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team and stakeholders to ensure that all bid-related tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

About the Job:

The QS Evaluation Supervisor will be responsible for preparing necessary bid documents, sending invitations to bidders, conducting pre-bid meetings, evaluating bids, and reviewing compliance of products and services to technical specifications. Additionally, the incumbent will prepare presentation materials, reports, and recommendations for the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare bid documents, including technical and financial proposals
  • Coordinate with the project team to gather required information and data
  • Evaluate bids based on technical and financial merit
  • Conduct unit rates assessments to set standards and consider previously awarded contracts
  • Review compliance of products and services to technical specifications and approved Terms of Reference
  • Prepare presentation materials and reports for the BAC
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with at least three years of experience in bid/cost evaluation in the construction industry. You should also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
