Senior Tax Accountant Opportunity

This role offers the perfect blend of forensic accounting, business advisory, and strategic financial management. As a senior tax accountant, you will play a pivotal role in conducting financial due diligence, navigating complexities of a business purchase, and establishing robust accounting practices for the new ownership.

Key responsibilities include comprehensive review and analysis of existing business books and financial records, providing expert guidance on financial aspects of the business purchase transaction, ensuring full compliance with Australian tax regulations, and preparing and reviewing tax returns in accordance with local, state, and federal tax laws.

You will analyze financial statements and reports to identify tax optimization opportunities and mitigate potential risks, deliver strategic tax planning advice to inform critical business decisions, and serve as the primary liaison with tax authorities and represent the company during any audit processes.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, CPA or ACCA certification, proven experience working with Australian businesses, and comprehensive knowledge of Australian tax compliance requirements.

Additionally, you should be proficient with accounting software, have Xero experience, and strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly are also essential.

As a remote worker, you will have flexible scheduling within client time zones, work from home arrangement, and immediate hiring.
