Job Overview

The Construction Project Manager oversees construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely progress and adherence to budgets, subcontractor management, and safety compliance.

This role involves coordinating pre-construction activities, bid preparation, project timelines, and tracking project progress, milestones, and budgets.

You will manage subcontractors, laborers, and materials, monitor and report on project status, and resolve delays or issues. Additionally, you will maintain documentation, facilitate communication among stakeholders, and handle financial aspects such as estimating, change orders, and project closeout.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced project manager with a strong background in residential construction, particularly townhouses, single-family homes, and small apartments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee construction projects from inception to completion
  • Coordinate pre-construction activities, bid preparation, and project timelines
  • Track project progress, milestones, and budgets, addressing risks and issues
  • Manage subcontractors, laborers, and materials to ensure timely progress
  • Monitor and report on project status, resolving delays or issues
  • Manage project schedules, scope, and inspections required by authorities
  • Maintain documentation and facilitate communication among stakeholders
  • Handle financial aspects such as estimating, change orders, and project closeout
Requirements
  • 4 to 6 years of construction or project management experience or equivalent education
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience in residential construction, particularly townhouses, single-family homes, and small apartments
  • Effective communication skills with subcontractors, vendors, and government agencies
  • Ability to prepare and track project timelines and budgets
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment
  • A team player willing to work in a fast-paced, growing small business
