Accounts Receivable Specialist Role

We're seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, cash posting across banks and internal platforms, ensuring accurate payment allocation and receipt verification.

Your key duties will include:

  • Cash reconciliation and daily posting from various banks and financial institutions.
  • Daily posting from multiple lock boxes.
  • Monthly or weekly cash to accounting reconciliation.
  • Designing a complete reconciliation process around lock box procedures.
  • Reporting on cash receipts and volumes.
  • Maintaining customer updates when reviewing remittance information.
  • Performing account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and resolving inquiries.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with customers, billing department members, and account managers.
  • Scheduling regular reporting to direct supervisors.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, including collections and contract management.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems like Microsoft Dynamics GP, QuickBooks, and ConnectWise.
  • An associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented and goal-driven approach.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
