Financial Operations Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with expertise in month-end close processes, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the month-end close process, creating journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, while ensuring timely and accurate posting. They will also analyze general ledger accounts and provide insights on significant variances.

In addition, the Financial Operations Manager will assist in preparing internal financial reports, support management with variance analysis and commentary on financial trends and results, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of internal financial reporting packages.

They will also reconcile all balance sheet accounts in FloQast, ensure resolution of discrepancies, and maintain the integrity of financial data. Furthermore, they will ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all required tax forms, including sales and use tax, business licenses, and annual reports.

The successful candidate will work closely with external tax advisors to manage federal, state, and local tax filings, prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external audits, and ensure compliance with company policies, U.S. GAAP, and other relevant regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA certification or active progress toward CPA, and 4+ years of accounting experience. They will also have hands-on experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations, as well as proficiency in ERP systems, such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks.

They will possess advanced Excel skills, strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Additionally, they will have a strong focus on accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations, continuously look for ways to improve accounting workflows and efficiency, and be able to manage competing priorities and maintain timelines during close and reporting cycles.

The Financial Operations Manager will take initiative in identifying issues and implementing solutions independently or with team support.

Required Skills and Qualifications
