Geospatial Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Geospatial Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing and building internal tools and automation systems that support our operations workflows.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of software development and operations. You will design, build, and maintain internal tools and scripts using Python to support operations workflows. Additionally, you will develop and optimize ETL processes for spatial data into relational databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain internal tools and scripts using Python to support operations workflows.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes for spatial data into relational databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
• Automate data transformation and processing pipelines to improve efficiency and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and support internal tools and workflows in both production and development environments.
• Ensure code quality through version control, testing, code reviews, and comprehensive documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant engineering field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Python development.
  • Hands-on experience with geospatial tools such as QGIS, PyQGIS, or GIS libraries like GDAL/OGR, Shapely, or GeoPandas.
  • Demonstrated experience in scripting and automating data processing tasks.
  • Proficient in SQL and relational databases, with a preference for PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
