Job Description

The Information Security Engineer plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization's data and systems by implementing and managing security measures outlined by the InfoSec team.

This involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, monitoring system performance, and maintaining platform environments according to company policies.

Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, and administering security tools such as endpoint protection, SIEM, XDR, WAF, vulnerability scanner, and DLP.

The engineer will also troubleshoot technical issues, employ tools for identifying exposures, and manage testing and assessment activities.

Furthermore, they will coordinate remediation efforts, respond to security incidents, and conduct regular vulnerability scans.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Education: BS/BA or AAS in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Information Security Principles: Understanding of basic information security principles
  • Technical Experience: Minimum 2 years in IT and data networks, plus 2 years in information security
  • Certifications: Proficient with Microsoft Applications, COMPTIA Security+, CISA, CISSP, SSCP CCSK certification
