Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Content Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our content creation process, you will be responsible for analyzing and documenting clinical requirements using best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and gather clinical requirements, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Validate clinical requirements with subject matter experts to guarantee accurate coding guideline interpretations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate rule/policy behavior and confirm solution requirements meet business expectations.
  • Document content requirements to facilitate seamless post-release content maintenance handoffs.
  • Serve as a contributor to all user documentation, including rules guides and edit clarifications.
  • Assist with end-user training activities and provide requirements subject matter expertise to internal and external clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in health information management, nursing, or a related field.
  • AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or AHIMA CCS-P or CCS certification required.
  • 5+ years of relevant healthcare experience, with at least 2 years in payment/reimbursement or medical policy analysis, medical coding, claims processing, chart reviewing/auditing, or clinical editing.
  • Effective communication skills: able to present complex material clearly via multiple mediums.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and assess potential vulnerabilities.
  • Superior critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Master's degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and payment policies and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of pre-payment editing and payment integrity is preferred.
